Lara began Beyond The Bump in 2019 after having her son and struggling to find enough resources in New Brunswick. Because of this, and her decade of nursing experience, advocacy and education are two of Lara’s priorities in her care. She strives to provide all of her clients with a sense of safety and comfort using evidence-based and trauma-informed models of care. ​​ Lara is a Body Ready Method Certified Pro and Body Ready Birth Teacher, is Gilligan’s Guide Certified, is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and speaker for GOLD Learning.
